Regional Workshop Promoting Best Practices in Tourism, ICT and Business Services
Best practices in tourism, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and business services delivery is the theme of a U.S. Government-supported international conference from June 24-25 at the Marriott Armenia Hotel in Yerevan. The aim of the conference is to share experience in each industry, learn best practice examples and identify opportunities for regional cooperation.
Speakers from Armenia, Georgia, USA, Croatia, Bulgaria and Macedonia will make presentations on topics such as ICT & Economic Growth, Quality Standards, Rural Tourism, Information Technology (IT) certification and Tourism Branding.
The conference is organized by the Business Growth Initiative (a global USAID project to promote best practices in enterprise development), the Regional Competitiveness Initiative (a global USAID project established to support regional trade), and the USAID/Armenia-funded Competitive Armenian Private Sector (CAPS) project.
"After the successful tourism and IT conferences organized by CAPS and its partners in May, this regional conference is a natural progression to focus on collaborative efforts in each industry within the region," commented Hayley Alexander, CAPS Chief of Party.
Representatives from tourism, ICT and business consulting firms are invited to participate both days of the conference (prior registration is required). Sessions begin at 9:00 AM. The full agenda can be obtained by visiting the CAPS website (www.caps.am). For further information or to register your participation, please contact Arevik Kyokhyan at CAPS on 010 500533, 538658 or contact her at AKyokhyan@caps.am.
